Handyman Tip of the Day/Week/Month/Year

WARNING: Some content may be inappropriate for some audiences. View discretion is advised.

I just got done mowing/trimming the lawn and wanted to make sure I posted this extremely important handyman tip. For anyone out there that is, or may be, looking to purchase a new trimmer, let me make a suggestion about the Ryobi SS30 straight-shaft trimmer.

I, Brian von Frinkenhagen, certify that it is a piece of shit. Do not buy it. Do not consider buying it. Don't even look at it. You will be disappointed (unless you enjoy purchasing pieces of shit).

Now, if anyone made the same mistake I did, I do know how to fix it. Move to the backyard where no one can see you making a scene. Make sure the piece of shit is off and then take said piece of shit and kick it. When you kick it, make sure you kick it in the middle of the shaft. That way you are kicking something that isn't very solid. Given the weight on both sides of the trimmer, the shaft will flex. It won't hurt.

After you've kicked the piece of shit, pick it up, examine it, and then throw it as high and as far as you possibly can. When it lands, give a little chuckle, run over to it, and kick it again. Then turn the piece of shit over, make sure it has gas, and turn it on.

Voila. You have just extended the life of your piece of shit trimmer. You're welcome.
