FRIENDS
While I never liked the idea that I had to put Kaylynn in daycare (babysitter, as I like to call it), it's been a great thing for her. Kaylynn loves her friends. Everytime we ask if she wants to go play with kids at Sandra's, she get excited. The whole way there, she will tell me that she's going to say "hi" to Sadie, Colton, and Cole. The second we get there, Sadie comes running "Kay Lynn. Hi Kay Lynn" (she seperates her name, in a cute little 2.5 year old way...) She never looks back, I rarely get a "bye-bye" because she's too engrossed in whatever Sadie has for her to play with.
And when we pick her up, she always says "see ya" as we walk out the door. When you ask her what she did, she'll go through the same thing, "I play with Colton and Sadie and Cole." She went through a phase when she talked an awful lot about Colton. We were afraid little Kaylynn had her first crush, but when we asked if Colton was her boyfriend, she looked at us like we were crazy, "No boyfriend."
Brian breathed a sigh of relief.
She enjoys her friends so much, they come up in daily conversation. She has a little travel Magna Doodle that we write names on. She's very into names. I think she likes to see what the letters look like (she can identify her ABC's!). She often asks us to write their names (along with Ben, Mommy, and Daddy). In her room, she has these words above her bed that say, "I see the moon and the moon sees me. God bless the moon and God bless me." We go through who else we want God to bless and she always adds them to the list.
I'm so glad she has fun playing with her friends. Even if they do things like let her steal their cheetos, or pacifiers, or bottles. :)

This is so sweet! And the last sentence reminds me of Katelyn's wish list to Santa (completely thought up by her): Swing Set & Cheetos!!! Ha, guess they both share a love for those cheesy messy chips! :) PS I will be doing my top 10 of Katelyn before the year is over and you will see some very familar type posts - our girls are so similar - except for Kaylynns sharp spotting skills in the airplane area!!!
