Here's what's going on with Kaylynn this week:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
A GROWTH SPURT??? How much more spurting does she need to do? She only needs to grow like 3-5 more inches and put on about 3 lbs and that would be just fine with me. We have our potentially last ultrasound the Monday after next to see how she's positioned and to guesstimate her weight. I had my 2nd 3 hr glucose exam yesterday, that's 4 more holes in the arm, PLUS a flu shot. I think I have had two flu shots in my life - this year and last. Knock on wood, I've never gotten the full blown flu. I haven't gotten my results yet, but I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have the diabetes.
Looking at the picture on babycenter.com I just don't see how laying in me like that could be comfortable. I mean, it's not comfortable for me for her to be laying in me like that... :)
