affinity - (noun) a natural liking for or an attraction to a person, place, thing, idea, etc.
Our little girl has a very strong affinity for, get this - a wall sconce. That's right. Our pride and joy LOVES a metal object that hangs on the wall. Once her eyes catch it, she gets the biggest smile on her face, and then she acts all coy by hiding her face into our chest. What a little flirt she is. She can carry on a conversation with this sconce for half an hour.
In fact, I think she's given us her first laughs, while looking at the wall sconce. She definitely takes after Brian and I, as it doesn't take much to keep her entertained. :)
