Lots of videos here. We've been meaning to post these for a while, but life happens. I want to make sure and remember these cute things that she's doing now days.
First of all, Brian took about a million and a half videos of Kaylynn doing her animal sounds. The first one is what I like to call "Animals - Distracted." Kaylynn is wandering around the room while he grills her on sounds.
The second one is the video he wanted...of her doing a good lion's ROAR.
Next we have a video of our little game, "I see you." This consists of Kaylynn getting into our empty cabinet, closing the doors, then opening them, announcing "I see you." She attacks the camera at the end.
And our last video of the night is what happens when you ask Kaylynn if she wants to take a bath. Taken the same night as "Animals - Distracted."
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm getting books launched at me with the demand, "READ." Oh, and I hear the "How I Met Your Mother" theme song....

16 Weeks!
Here's what's up with #2 this week. We get to find out #2's gender on June 16th...aka, an eternity away.
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his/her weight and add inches to his/her length. Right now, he's/she's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His/Her legs are much more developed, his/her head is more erect than it has been, and his/her eyes have moved closer to the front of his/her head. His/Her ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his/her scalp has begun, though his/her locks aren't recognizable yet. He's/She's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his/her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

15 Weeks!
Here's what's going down with #2 this week:

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). He's/She's busy moving amniotic fluid through his/her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in his/her lungs begin to develop. His/Her legs are growing longer than his/her arms now, and he/she can move all of his/her joints and limbs. Although his/her eyelids are still fused shut, he/she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, he's/she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

14 Weeks!

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his/her thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his/her facial muscles are getting a workout as his/her tiny features form one expression after another. His/Her kidneys are producing urine, which he/she releases into the amniotic fluid around him/her — a process he'll/she'll keep up until birth. He/She can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him/her sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he/she measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he/she weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His/her body's growing faster than his/her head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his/her arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his/her body. (His/Her legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's/She's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his/her body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his/her spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his/her tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.
They say you can't feel the kicks yet, but I swear (except I shouldn't) that I've felt

13 Weeks
Nothing new and dramatic happened this past week. I did a lot of sitting and walking around the room, courtesy of the TAKS test. Blah.
Kaylynn knocked her forehead pretty good last night on the kitchen table. It immediately bruised and got a bump. Brian (the concussion expert) assured me that all would be well. Mom always said you know it's fine when it swells out, because swelling in is bad. Let's just say, it hasn't slowed her down any.

Here's what's going on with #2 this week:
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, his/her veins and organs are clearly visible through his/her still-thin skin, and his/her body is starting to catch up with his/her head — which makes up just a third of his/her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.
#2 isn't making me near as hungry anymore, which is good. I think that weight gain issue won't be an issue this go around. All my kids at school know now. They're really funny. Saying things like, "don't bend over, you'll squish the baby." "Have you thought of names? I mean, if it's a boy, Tom obviously." "You better be sit down and be quiet, she's gonna go all pregnant on you." "Mrs. Frink, you're starting to bubble." Really, kid. I'm not boiling, how can I bubble? :) "Are you STILL eating lunch??"
Kaylynn gets to play with her cousin on Monday. We've been practicing saying "Anthony" so hopefully she can say it for him. Oh, did we mention that we're having another nephew in September? No? Well, we are! :) Exciting things happening all across the familia.
