4/52

Week 4/52 was a little late. Oh well! I took this today, after a picking of broccoli and brussel sprouts. The theme was "Unexpected Perspective."

An Interview - Kaylynn, Age 3

I have seen this a jillion times on Pinterest. A yearly interview to see how answers/preferences change throughout the year. I did this for Kaylynn back in December. It was quite entertaining, to say the least. A lot of her answers had to do with things she had on her mind right.then.and.there. :)

1.What is your favorite color? Yellow
2. What is your favorite toy? Cupcakes (she got play cupcakes for her kitchen for Christmas.)
3. What is your favorite fruit? Apples (ummm, I don't think that is accurate. Banana? Sure. Strawberries? Yup. Grapes? Why not. Apples? HUH?!)
4. What is your favorite TV show? Wonderpets
5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Sandwiches (she is totally our child. We are huge sandwich fans.)
6. What is your favorite thing to wear? Tutu
7. What is your favorite thing to learn about? Jesus
8. What is your favorite animal? Giraffe
9. What is your favorite song? Wheels on the Bus
10. What is something Mama or Daddy tells you? When you have to poop, just push your poop out.
11. What is your favorite book? Olivia
12. Who is your friend? Jackson
13. What is your favorite cereal? O's and Hearts cereal (My mom always has Kashi's Heart to Heart...that's what she's talking about.)
14. What do you like to do outside? Play ball
15. What is your favorite thing to drink? Milk
16. What is your favorite holiday? Costume holiday (I think she means Halloween.)
17. What do you like to take to bed with you? Blanket
18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Oatmeal
19. What makes you happy? When you (Mommy) uses nice words. (I always use nice words!)
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Mom and Dad, but Dad first. (Probably because Dad is so much fun!)

Out of the mouths of babes. I look forward to seeing how this changes each year!

3/52

Week 3's themes were Negative/White Space or Everyday Tools. I don't particularly like the use of negative space here, but it was the best I had for the themes this week.

I took this at Terramont Park. Ben was having a good time scaling the walls, trying to walk. I tried to get him to look at me, but he couldn't stop watching Kaylynn. You see, Little Miss doesn't walk anywhere - she either runs or hops. This time, she was running.

2/52

The theme this week was "Open" or "Responsibility". I went with "Responsibility."

Week 2's photo was taken on my dad's 60th birthday! We went to Angel Fire, NM to celebrate with his friends, Kent & Mary. Kent said Kaylynn was at a good age to start the ski learning process. This photo was taken in the backyard, as we figured it would be better to see if she was in the right mood before we loaded up and drove to the slopes!

She was a rockstar! I cannot wait until she is one of those little kids zooming past me, heading down blue runs.

Let's Do 52 - 1/52

I have decided to participate in Paint the Moon Photography's 52 week photo challenge. I go through spurts of picture taking around here. We'll do something fun, go somewhere or something and I'll take pictures, but then we'll go 3-4 weeks with nothing, then all of a sudden another huge crop of pictures. This is to help me be more deliberate about my photo taking.

So, the rules. Each week Annie @ PTM give 2 themes to choose from and you use your creative abilities (or non-abilities, in my case) to take a photo that matches that. This week's themes were Sharing or All Natural. I took a cute photo of Kaylynn and Ben having some fun "Dora house" time, but it was just too bright. Scrap it and move on.

My week 1/52 photo ended up being one of Kaylynn outside. She found a stick and was twirling around with it and hitting the dogwood tree. It sent Ben into fits of hysterical laughter. Awesome! I love belly laughs!
